The Beadwork Fair

I went to a bead fair ( a while ago. It was a good chance to brush shoulders with some other beaders, and because I was on my own I actually talked to a few of them, as well as some of the exhibitors. I have listed the contacts I made, some I was already familiar with, others were new. They will be most useful to those in the UK, but some of them will ship internationally, I'm not sure which though. Some of them also have good information and pattens on their websites. I've included the list of suppliers at the bottom, I did not get contact details for all of them.

Apart from making contacts I did some shopping... I got everything on my shopping list and a few things from my wish list.

This is what I bought:-
From Stitch'n'Craft: 15/0 beads, wonderful matte twisted 12mm bugles, and 11/0 seed beads on a hank that I will use in bead knitting and crochet.

From Fine Lines: wonderful red charlottes size 13/0 on a hank for knitting again and two more colours of 15/0s.

From the Bead Merchant: Toho triangles that I have been trying to find forever, they have a crisper profile than the Myuki ones, and 4mm facetted glass beads in 3 colours.

From Geoff Swain: (who only sells at bead fairs) solid 10mm jump rings, facetted oval glass beads, 8mm glass beads in black, facetted and smooth, and purple metallic, royal blue 19mm bugles, wonderful 10mm deepest red facetted glass beads, and some fun oval factted glass pearls... a wonderful haul for £11.

From Margaret and Vanessa: 2 more colours of 15/0s, more 8mm black, facets... Ooops, grey matte glass pearl ovals and 4mm facets in garnet AB, Gunmetal, silver grey and dark blue AB.

From Well Head Books: "Embroidery Beading - Designs and Techniques" by Maisie Jarratt.
